Hey there, my names James and im a university rugby player and entrepreneur with a passion for the culture, identity, and lifestyle that surrounds the game. Growing up in competitive rugby environments and progressing through elite development pathways, i experienced first-hand how rugby extends far beyond eighty minutes on the pitch. It shapes confidence, community, and personal style.

While studying Business Management at university and competing in BUCS Super Rugby, i noticed a gap in the market. Many brands focused purely on performance wear or traditional club merchandise, but very few represented modern rugby culture in a way that felt authentic off the field for the street or clubhouse. Rugby Wardrobe was built to bridge that gap, combining heritage with contemporary modern streetwear designs, using premium materials suited to rugby physiques.

The brand began as a student-led idea, developed between training sessions, lectures, and part-time work. What started with small product runs and local photoshoots quickly grew into a movement centred around representing rugby culture year-round.

Rugby Wardrobe is more than clothing, it is a reflection of the rugby mindset. Built from lived experience, the brand aims to create pieces that players feel proud to wear both on match day and beyond it. As the brand continues to evolve, the mission remains the same: represent rugby culture, honour its heritage, and create apparel that feels authentic to the people who live the sport every day.
